Welcoming Back: and being Real

It’s been a long time...

I’ve had a soul scouring time since spring of 2017, which involved clearing out the old. This past year involved relationship counseling, nervous doubts, and self-judgment; yet it was also laced with good nature time, and slowing....way....down. NOT a priority was email, facebook, or journal time flushing out my business. These all laid by the wayside while I often just sat, or walked.

With the spaciousness, I invited listening; to nature, to Spirit, and to the music within and around me. Many, many songs came through. I also had much, so much good daughter time creatively, making art together, biking, and swimming at the hot springs pool within the Jackson Wellsprings. I traveled on not only 5 Papa/daughter camping trips, but also a daughter train ride to meet family in Los Osos (21 hours).

What I realized later was why I was adamant in taking this healing time, an active home retreat. I was reclaiming my self worth. I was finding the true passion in the gifts that I offer— they were overflowing. These gifts that I am finally owning are fueling the energy to move into the social media world. This is why I finally address you now.

And there’s a big joke in this full circle. I had an interview with a good coach to re-jumpstart my business with clarity, organization and so on. He asked for my website. He looked and found it inactive.  

My wife said, “Take the new opportunity! Maybe your business and web presence isn’t Intimacy Guidance anymore.” I thought, “Perhaps you are right,” and smiled, instead of frowning with self-doubt and embarrassment.  

I hope you stay tuned. And please send me grace as I “rebrand” a new web presence.

As I aim to send out more personal writings, most of what I share is my vulnerable experience, with the intention that it inspires and uplifts. 

I am in deep gratitude for various family support I’ve had while undergoing this self-discovery. Simultaneously getting to own my true healing gifts was hand in hand with my ability to allow the creative flow of songs God brings. I see now these songs have value enough to create a new album, yet I know not exactly how they will look or feel in completion. Wish me well as the journey continues.  

One thing I do know and can offer is this: Keep asking where your heart thrives, and be willing to go there! The challenge to surrender can bring out the best and reveals unseen gifts.
